One of us has been donating to opensource projects for years. And thanks to some of you, she discovered Liberapay. 😀

Liberapay 🇫🇷 is a French non-profit donation platform focused on funding free and open source software, artists and content creators. It’s a European alternative to platforms like Patreon, and it was founded by @Changaco (https://liberapay.com/Changaco) and Zatalyz (https://liberapay.com/Zatalyz).

Liberapay doesn’t charge any additional fees, is run by a non-profit organization, and its source code is public.

Your identity is kept private by default, unless you choose to reveal your identity and make your donations public.

Liberapay focuses on recurring donations: it’s a way to provide a stable income for those you support (but nothing stops you from making a donation and cancelling the recurring donations soon after).

She decided to join Liberapay and send little drops of lov€ (or a ☕) to some projects or developers that create tools she uses. Splitting the donation among many projects makes a very small amount for each one but she believes in the power of small donations if everybody does it too!
